You don’t take drugs, don’t have a drinking problem and quit smoking years ago. So, you don’t have to worry about addiction, right? Think again. One out of every four persons exhibits regular compulsive behaviours which can predispose them toward hidden addictions – the obsessive desire for food, sex, work, shopping, entertainment, exercise and a host of seemingly innocent attachments. These can all become compulsions that rule our lives. Relying on experts in this field as well as personal experience, Bishop Sylvain will explore the nature and impact of these addictive behaviors, and the most effective ways to overcome them. This retreat will offer help to anyone who wants to find a way out of hidden addictions, for themselves or someone they care about.
