For 73 years, The Star of the North Retreat House has been guided and inspired by the mission of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate. This year, we join the Oblate community in celebrating a remarkable milestone: 200 years since Pope Leo XII approved their Constitution and Rules on February 17, 1826.

We warmly invite the Catholic community and our wider Christian ecumenical friends to gather in gratitude and celebration on: Thursday, May 21, 2026 - Doors open at 5:30pm, dinner at 6:30pm, Italian cultural center 14230 133 Ave Edmonton - featuring keynote speaker Fr. Ken Forster, OMI

This special evening takes place on the Feast of St. Eugene de Mazenod, whose vision shaped the Oblate “Book of Life” and continues to inspire their mission among the people - especially the poor and most abandoned.

$200/ticket - $1,400/table of 8 - tax receipt will be issued for a portion of the ticket price

Join Father Ken Forster, OMI for an evening of fellowship and celebration as we raise funds for an Oblates retreat house in Kisaju, Kenya and for the Oblates’ Young Adult Retreat in St. Albert in August. Celebrate the mission of the Oblates and join in supporting the work they are doing!
