Addiction takes many forms and affects all of us - our families and society – and is reaching crisis proportions. This timely workshop/retreat for members of AA and Al-anon is open to anyone interested in learning more about the addictive process, a spirituality of recovery, inner healing and the 12 Step program. Key components for a life of sobriety that is joyful and free, serenity and surrender, will be the focus. Music, art, keynote presentations, witnessing, ritual, laughter and opportunity for sharing will provide an experience that is informative, formative and transformative.
Sylvain L. is a missionary Oblate who has over 30 years experience ministering among the aboriginal peoples of north and central Saskatchewan. A large part of that ministry has included facilitation of workshops and retreats on various spiritual topics as well as the 12 Steps. He now serves as chaplain and spiritual director at Star of the North Retreat Centre.
Justin R. has been an active member of the Recovery Community for over 4 years. He has worked with over 37 different men and women in the 12-step program. He is currently the Executive Director of St. Dismas House Society, which works with addicts in early recovery to achieve the goal of attending treatment with a lower risk of relapse prior to attending treatment.
