Event Details

There is no question that we live in challenging times. Change is rapid, and ushers much uncertainty. Add to that the personal life transitions we all experience. How do we navigate and even honour times of transition? This retreat will explore the “what now?” we experience during times of transition. It will offer a variety of spiritual and psychological tools for navigating times of change and transition with calm and grace. It will invite us to consider how honoring times of transitions can lead to personal and social transformation.

Debbie Doornbos, B.Th. - Debbie is a retreat leader, and spiritual director with extensive experience leading small groups, creating and facilitating retreats and leading group process. She especially enjoys working with people through life’s many transitions. Debbie’s work has included being the Canadian Director for Sacred Art of Living, Program Director at Providence Renewal Centre, and a variety of contract work. She is an outdoor enthusiast, a passion she shares with her husband. Her five grandchildren are among her greatest teachers.

Margaret Clark, D. Min. - Margaret is a Certified Spiritual Care Practitioner within the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care/Association canadienne de soins spirituels (CASC/ACSS). Her diversified ministry involvements have included faith community leadership, hospital based chaplaincy and supervision, adult education, and spiritual direction. In each ministry context Margaret has encountered myriad experiences oftransition. It is a topic of reflection and prayer that continues to deepen and grow. Margaret enjoys long walks, fibre arts, and sharing good food with good friends.
