Over the centuries, Mary Magdalene has held enormous fascination for the faith community, especially among writers, story-tellers and artists. By exploring scripture, legend and new discoveries regarding this special friend of Jesus, we will derive insights into the meaning of healing, friendship and Easter faith in our own spiritual lives.
Sister Teresita Kambeitz teaches theology for teachers who are pursuing their Master of Religious Education degree in Saskatoon. She also teaches in adult faith enrichment programs, gives parish missions and conducts retreats in Canada and the USA. Her previous ministry included teaching at the high school and university levels in Saskatoon and at Newman Theological College in Edmonton, as well as overseas in summer courses for teachers in the British Virgin Islands, Barbados, Venezuela, Latvia and South Africa. An Ursuline Sister, she holds two bachelors’ degrees, two masters’ degrees, a Ph.D. from the University of Toronto and a degree in piano.
