Event Details

In today’s world, our human search for meaning has become more complicated, influenced by polarizing political ideologies, cultural shifts, technological advancements, and frequent usage. And words have different ways that they can be meant: literal definitions, but also social meanings, psychological meanings, identity meanings, existential meanings, and so on. Focusing only on a word’s "dictionary definition" may make us miss so much of the power a word can have to build community or tear it down Join local philosopher Neal DeRoo as he provides some guidance, advice, and hope for living confidently and truthfully when nothing seems quite right.

FACILITATOR

Neal DeRoo, a philosopher of religion and phenomenology, has held major academic roles, published widely, and lectured internationally. His current work explores spirituality as a fundamental structure of experience shaping intuition, identity, and worship across social, political, and religious contexts
